Marathon
Orbital Arm posts updates about Trojan for M2/Win, a Big House inmate... and makes a request.
The Big House is also home to Excalibur: Morgana's Revenge... as some 3500 of you seem to already know. bungie.org has served over 40 gigs worth of this scenario in the past 4 days... a new record for us. By a long shot. If you're enjoying it... let us know!
New maps at the Archives... have we no common sense? (We just regained a bit of our bandwidth...)
The best Bungie game ever made? The Story page has the lowdown...
Aleph One plows on to version 0.10 (that's zero point ten, not zero point one zero), with some cool XML stuff, and Steve Israelson pops back on the scene... you gotta go to the Source!

Seems we missed a ton of news in our roundup last night. Guess we're gonna try and atone for that now.
Marathon
Marathon's Story page comes back from its Easter break with guns blazing. New trash term speculation, new Iain Banks info, more of those pesky sevens, and hey-maybe Bungie wants to hire poena.dare?
Over at the Source, you got a new saved game editor, more artwork, and news of a mailing list switch. Oh, yeah, and Marathon's been updated to support T&L. Oh, wait, I'm mixing up my Marathon and Halo news. Never mind.
Gates of Fenris, a Big House inmate, has updated its screenshots section. Couple of new monster shots... I LIKE that Swarm one.
Myth
Myth@Bungie.org has news of a new total conversion... take a look, if the standard fare is getting stale for you!

bungie.org
Just as a quick note of explanation... we're in the middle of a pretty bad lightning storm here in the northeast. It killed most of b.org's connectivity for
a couple of hours this evening... thanks to the local telco, though, the line's back up now. No guarantee there won't be glitches through the night... just wanted
to warn everyone. You do everything you can to make sure your power doesn't go out... and the dang phone line gets hit by lightning! You can't win.

Marathon
Marathon contest: Simplici7y
Bungie.org is pleased to announce perhaps the coolest Marathon map making
competition to date - Simplici7y. It's quite "simple," you must create a
level for Marathon 2 / Marathon Infinity that uses exactly seven polygons.
No more, no less. Hey, you, in the back, quit your whining; some of the
best maps we've played use fewer polygons than that. The idea here is to
encourage creativity, so be original. The best maps can win some
really cool prizes, including a grand prize of a sealed Marathon Trilogy Box
Set, and a copy of Super Marathon for the Pippen! And even if you don't win
all that neat stuff, you could be one of six runners up to receive a stylin'
Oni mousepad.
All the information, including a full list of contest rules, judges for
the contest, and a full list of prizes, can be found at the Simplici7y
contest page:
http://hotline.bungie.org
Head on over there right now and soak up all the
information. Remember, making a seven-poly map takes hardly any time and
effort. Making it good, now there's the challenge. Are you up to it?

running a Minotaur competition. Answer three simple Minotaur questions and win a ton of prizes. The three questions?
- Can you use a Forcewall spell to "claim" a Pentagram?
- What happens if you use an Astral Hammer spell while standing on a lore rune?
- What can be used to invoke an Armageddon?
Send your answers in a brown sealed envelope to Max at <max@bungie.com>. Only those who can answer need apply
