May 15, 2000, 9:27 p.m.    Hey! Where you been?

bungie.org

Phew! E3 is over, we can breathe again. The various subsites have been so busy, there's been no time to update this main page. Most E3 news was caught in our E3 roundup , or directly on Oni Central's e3 page, or on HBO's main page, or on the Marathon's Story page... but let's take a minute and see what ELSE was going on around b.org.

We opened a new site. We played some games with it... but Bungie Sightings (also known as BS) is now online. Got a cool pic of a Bungie Sticker on the Eiffel Tower? Figure out a way to put a lifesize Konoko blowup doll on top of your church steeple? Wearing your "Don't Make Us Kick Your Ass" shirt on a tour of the White House? Take a pic, send it in! It's all evidence of Bungie's road to world dominance... be a part of it!

Pathways Into Darkness

Six endings? Why six? Why not seven? SOMEONE STOLE AN ENDING!

Marathon

A whole bunch of new stuff has been posted at the Archives, including a monster tribute to master Tony Smith. Go check it out!

More artwork, more planning, and new versions of Aleph One... what more could you want? Head to the Source for your Open-Sourced Marathon needs.

A bunch of new scenarios mentioned on the Scenario News page... the Marathon development scene is still cooking!

More news than we could summarize in an evening has been posted to the Marathon's Story page in the past few days... of particular note is the opening of the Official Halo Backstory section. Get immersed today!

Myth

While the rest of the world was checking out E3, folks over at the Myth page were working on MythMastery. And the Mill, of course, continues to load on the new files. (Two weeks until the Contest results are announced!)

Oni/Halo

Well, these two games were the focus of E3, at least for Bungie fanatics, and Oni Central and HBO did admirable jobs of keeping up with the news... there's just too much to summarize, so go on by and read it for yourself! (Oni Central has a new poll up, don't forget to vote!)

Bungie Sightings

BS opened its doors today, with a few teaser thumbnails to show folks the idea. (The full pics for those thumbs are coming, but in the meantime, see if you can guess where they're from!) Remember: this site, more than most, relies heavily on the enthusiasm of the fan base... send in your pics, and make it a success! "bs.bungie.org - Where the bs flies like it's nobody's business."

May 11, 2000, 4:49 p.m.

Bungie.org

Having trouble keeping up with all the E3 news? Let us do it for you. Head on over to our new E3 coverage page for all the latest Bungie happenings, like...

Oni

...a new Oni screenshot (or two) at Oni Central, and even

Halo

...a full review of the new Halo movie, courtesy of Halo Vault. Get it over at Halo.bungie.org!

May 11, 2000, 8:57 am     Whatz happening?

Halo

Halo.bungie.org have the low down on the new Halo movie at E3.

Mystery Voice

Got Bungie Stickers? Then STICK'EM.

What's going on here? We just got this email from an unnamed source:

Those of you fortunate enough to be attending E3, do ??? a favor and grab a bunch of stickers from the Bungie booth (whether Oni, Halo, or Bungie specific) and do your best ninja impersonation: Affix the stickers in the most unlikely of places (Blizzard booth? Lara's butt? [smile!]) and then whip out your instamatic and take some shots of said stickers... a record of the act of Bungie fandom! Keep those shots handy... more to come, soonTM.

p.s. This is not related to the E3 Photo contest over at rampancy.net, but don't worry, we'll take those pics as well. :)

Pathways Into Darkness

Only six endings in Pathways Into Darkness?

May 8, 2000, 8:57 am     sevens...

There's been a bit of speculation about what might be coming here to that mystery link above. So far, I like this one the best.

Back on April 28th, we mentioned a poll at New Millenium Mac Games... What's the best Bungie Game ever? Mike writes to us to tell us that Marathon 2 took the title, with 36% of the vote, followed by Marathon (20%) and Myth (15%). They're running a new poll... would you buy a mac magazine?

Marathon

The Story page was rocking today. Hacked Marathon in Swedish movies, Core speculation (as of right now, their system integrity is at 1.37%... won't be long), and some random Halo info. Gettin' exciting, whatever's going on!

That Source page is gettin' more new artwork than HBO! What's up wit' dat?

Check \ tomorrow for a pretty interesting new offering... or is it?

Halo

Who says this game can't generate news this early?

Myth

Pretty cool new releases at the Mill... Check out this one from Creation!

Pathways Into Darkness

Finally... back on the Ground Floor!

Marathon: Open Source reports that EMR is the first 3rd-party major scenario to work with the open source engine. Woohoo! Check 'em out for the details.

The Scenario News page has new screens of a couple of upcoming scenarios... and a couple of scenarios-that-are-no-more. You win some, you lose some.

Halo

HBO is cranking out the news... good answers today from reader questions, plus extremely strange happenings over at the Core. Is the end of the world upon us?

Myth

Woohoo! Myth news! New films from a Myth Master.

May 5, 2000, 10:07 pm     B?

Marathon

Glue the Moose??

Source at the source. Art, too.

Matt's pretty vocal these days over at HBO. Lots of rumors flying around... is he helping?

Pathways Into Darkness

More box speculation over at the Pathways site.

Oni

Oni demoed on a Playstation2 at E3?? Oni Central has the details, but they're keepin' mum... bug 'em!

Myth

Still no Myth news... except maybe here...

May 5, 2000, 12:47 am     We're gonna smash their brains in...

Marathon

Logos, trivia, and funky films... what more could you want?

Marathon: Open Source is gonna be even more open. One of these days, we're just gonna fall in.

Very, very cool textures for scenariomakers. Want some? Read about them here. (Hey... if you're really into textures, there's pretty cool stuff here, too... but it's not really Marathon. That name at the bottom sure looks familiar, though...)

Big scenarios get small bugfixes. Trojan for Windows gets a second patch, Excalibur: Morgana's Revenge is bumped up to 2.0.2, and Pfh'Joueur has a 1.1 release imminent. Who says scenariomakers rest on their laurels?

Halo

Gawd. Lots o' submissions... lots o' Halo sightings in the press... it's a hoppin' place, that HBO.

Pathways Into Darkness

Some people have too much time on their hands. Are you one of those guys who analyzes game box pictures? (Of course, we're talking about a game that came out 7 years ago... so maybe the time crack was uncalled for.)

Oni

Fan art at Oni Central. Nice to see folks puttin' stuff together.

Myth

What the hell were we thinking? There's no Myth news...

May 3, 2000, 1:47 am     Skipper's got a brand-new boyfriend...

Oni

Oni Central has a new poll up... what kind of fighting are YOU gonna do?

Marathon

Details on Space: Above and Beyond at the Story Page.

Marathon: Open Source has yet another version of Aleph One for your perusal... but the key question still is, can it make toast?

Idiocracy... a fine name for a Marathon Scenario.

Halo

Polls, polls, and more polls... can you crush 'em?

Pathways Into Darkness

That Walter dude is pretty nasty.

May 1, 2000, 1:17 am     Mayday! Mayday! ...oh.

Oni

More Oni news at Oni Central... new screens? Cool!

Marathon

Insteresting Informations at the Story Page... marathon logos all over New York, and Halo precursors all over the web!

A TON of new scenarios looking for help on the Recruits page. Is it only scenario MAKERS that read this page? Where are all the worker bees?

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! A version of Aleph One that plays MIDI Music... HAS!!!! WHERE'S THAT INFINITY VERSION OF TROJAN????!!!

Halo

New Screens! Enos and Roscoe are here to bring a world of hurt down 'pon your haid.

Myth
